Can I open an account with you?
Customer online account facilities are offered to UK schools, colleges and universities only.
A username and password will be sent to education customers upon receipt of their first online order with us. Alternatively, qualifying customers are welcome to complete a simple account application form (please contact us) prior to placing an order.
Account holders can login via the shop account login link at the top of the page.
Are the prices displayed subject to any tax charges?
Value Added Tax (VAT) at 20% is applicable on all products sold for delivery to destinations in the European Union.
VAT inclusive prices are displayed on all category and product pages, with a breakdown (for those able to claim the tax back) available within the cart and on order paperwork delivered with your goods.
Where do you deliver to?
Science Studio deliver orders of any value to destinations worldwide.
For UK mainland destinations (i.e. England, Scotland, and Wales) orders can be placed online with us.
For all other destinations (including: Northern Ireland; Irish Republic; Channel Islands and all overseas locations), please contact us directly with your order.
How much do you charge for delivery?
You have the option of standard or expedited delivery to UK mainland addresses. Charges vary depending on the package weight and will update when items are placed in your basket.
Packages above 2kg to UK mainland destinations are charged at a flat rate of £6.95 + VAT for standard delivery.
For orders valued at more than £500 (excluding VAT) standard delivery is FREE.
For deliveries to destinations outside of the UK mainland, an appropriate carriage cost will be quoted upon application.
Can I have my order delivered to a different location from the billing address?
Yes you can.
For online orders, simply specify that your delivery address will be different from your billing address and complete the appropriate delivery address fields during the checkout process.
Please note that, for online orders, both addresses must be located on the UK mainland (i.e. England, Scotland, and Wales). For offshore UK (e.g. Northern Ireland, Irish Republic, and the Channel Islands) or overseas orders - please contact us directly.
How long will my order take to reach me?
Orders received before 3:00 pm are usually dispatched the same day. Our standard delivery service is 3 working days after dispatch and our expedited service is the next working day after dispatch.
Overseas orders may take anything from two days to two weeks (depending on the specific destination). Customers will be advised of the expected delivery date upon receipt of the order.
What payment options do you offer?
We currently offer our customers the following payment options:

Will my credit / debit card details be secure?
Credit / debit card details submitted through our online shop are processed for payment by our trusted payment services partner, PayPal. Card details are not held in clear text on any website at any time.
We know of no documented cases of credit / debit card fraud resulting from using our online shop.
What about my privacy in general?
Science Studio will not disclose any buyers information to third parties, nor will we mis-use such information in any other way.
All information collected from customers is voluntarily supplied (i.e. name, address, telephone number, email, payment details etc) in the course of placing an order with us, and is only used to properly fulfill orders / provide effective customer service, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988.
In providing effective customer service, we may later wish to use voluntarily supplied contact data in order to inform you of updates to our products and services, special offers etc. However, we will not contact you in this way if you would prefer us not to, and you can choose to opt in or out of this service during the ordering / enquiry process.
Although Science Studio will not collect any information about customers without their explicit consent, visitors should note that cookies are used on this website to enable the various functions associated with shopping online.
What happens if some or all of my order is out of stock?
In the unlikely event of Science Studio being temporarily unable to fulfill your order due to stock shortages, we will automatically put the items on a back order for you. You will always be notified if this is the case and of course be given the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Do you offer any kind of guarantee?
In addition to any standard manufacturers warrantees offered, all our products carry a three year Science Studio guarantee. This means that any Science Studio product will be repaired or replaced free of charge should it develop any manufacturing faults during the three year period from the date of purchase.
How do I go about returning an items / cancelling my order?
Faulty / damaged goods or those delivered in error can be returned for replacement or full refund (including any postal charges incurred) within 7 working days (starting from the day after the goods were received).
In the first instance, customers should contact us by telephone on +44 (0) 1869 340033 or email us on email@example.com, and note that any items delivered in error should be returned to us unused and in their original condition.
Goods correctly delivered according to order and of merchantable quality may also be returned (unused and in their original condition) for any reason, within 7 working days (starting from the day after the goods were received), in accordance with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. However, please note that in this case, any costs incurred in returning the item(s) to us cannot be met by Science Studio, nor can any original delivery charges involved in dispatching the item(s) to the customer be refunded.
